Problem
I am worried about the risk of recurrent colic in my horse.
Solution
Leandra has a young off-the-track thoroughbred (“Gozer”), who recently experienced a colic episode, so she purchased the NIGHTWATCH® smart halter™ knowing he was now at increased risk for subsequent colic events. Within 2 days of receiving her smart halter™, she received her first early-warning alert after Gozer’s resting heart rate was elevated for an extended period. Upon attending to him, she noticed he was visibility uncomfortable, so she administered an analgesic and his symptoms resolved.
Today Leandra sleeps a little easier knowing she will be notified by NIGHTWATCH® if something goes awry with Gozer’s biometrics or behavior.
“For the first time, I can sleep a bit easier knowing I will be notified if there is a problem.”

Problem
My clients trust me with their horses, but I can’t be everywhere at once.
Solution
Teri is responsible for many show horses, but often travels around the country with various clients so she constantly worries about what’s happening at home. Because Teri also has several retired horses in her herd at home, she is further stressed by their high-risk nature, so she ordered her first NIGHTWATCH® smart halter™ to evaluate on one troublemaker in particular (“Z”). Z has been known to act up and become stressed when there is change around him, especially when his herd mates leave the property. Teri now has control on the road through the NIGHTWATCH® app that displays real-time and historical data on Z so she can make quick and better decisions, when needed.
“I now have eyes on my horses at home, even while I’m away.”

Problem
I often need overnight monitoring of client horses.
Solution
Dr. Reagan often has horses staying overnight in her clinic. In fact, earlier this Spring she cared for one horse on an approximate 3-month layover who wore his NIGHTWATCH® smart halter™ every night. This horse was recovering from shipping fever, so it was important to monitor him 24/7 to ensure he did not overexert himself or start to take a turn for the worse. The smart halter™ not only provided Dr. Reagan and her staff with objective information on his vital signs and behavior, but ultimately provided them with more sleep because they could now remotely evaluate this horse’s wellbeing through the NIGHTWATCH® app versus stall cameras alone.
“Relying on NIGHTWATCH® allows me and my staff to sleep a little easier…and longer.”

Problem
How to monitor & care for a horse with a catastrophic injury.
Solution
Lady Bird is a special 13 year-old TB Dutch Warmblood cross with a very dedicated owner (“Marta”) who could not give up on her, even when veterinarians suggested euthanasia after sustaining a pelvic fracture and a fractured and displaced acetabulum. After hospitalization for 3 months, she had stabilized and veterinarians at Texas A&M gave Marta the go ahead to bring her home. However, Marta was concerned about her ability to offer continuous monitoring, so she purchased the NIGHTWATCH® smart halter™ and installed a camera. Marta continues to use her smart halter™ to have instant on-demand access to objective insight on Lady Bird’s wellbeing. Read more about Lady Bird’s story in an upcoming blog post.
“Without the metrics of the NIGHTWATCH® Smart Halter™ and the live action video of my camera, my beloved Lady Bird wouldn’t be so well monitored unless I slept in her stall! The NIGHTWATCH® team is outstanding, and I consider this technology a true ‘life saver’ for (both of) us!”

Problem
I am nervous about my mare as we approach her foaling date.
Solution
Erica has a highly prized broodmare (“Liza”), and like every broodmare owner, wanted to be there for the birth of her impending foal and monitor for complications. Therefore, Erica ordered and received her NIGHTWATCH® smart halter™ about 1 month before Liza’s due date and opted to monitor her using manual alert settings. To Erica’s relief, she was received a recumbency alert followed by several heart rate alerts moments before the birth of her filly (“Claire”) and is eternally grateful for having been alerted to the early signs of this distress event.
“If it wasn’t for NIGHTWATCH®, I wouldn’t have been there in time for the birth of my foal.”

Problem
I need objective insight into the wellbeing of Dublin because I am away for many hours at a time.
Solution
Emily is a university student and Grand Prix dressage rider who struggles like so many of us to balance school and high-level competition. In the winter of 2018, her gelding (“Dublin”) had a choking incident and it took 3 hours to pass. This put him out of the show ring for a month during the height of the Wellington show season. Luckily, Emily was standing next to him when it started so it could be treated immediately. With her busy schedule and out-of-town travel, Emily was looking for a way to virtually always be standing next to Dublin, so she purchased a NIGHTWATCH® smart halter™. Shortly after using it for the first time, she realized not only could she look for changes in his normal biometrics and behavior to assess wellbeing, but she could use insight from the NIGHTWATCH® app to refine her training schedule. Thanks to NIGHTWATCH® Emily feels more connected to Dublin than ever before.
“I utilize NIGHTWATCH® to track Dublin’s health and address his training accordingly.”
