When the Protequus team first began marketing the NIGHTWATCH smart halter in 2016, we knew that strategic partnerships were going to be the key to success for this device. The NIGHTWATCH smart halter is a patented equine distress and wellness monitor that provides horse owners and caretakers with early warning alerts to reduce the potentially devastating impact of colic and other equine health emergencies. The smart halter works by monitoring a horse’s vital signs and behavior, looking for changes that correlate with pain and distress. When an alert threshold is breached, owners and any number of caretakers will receive a text, call, and/or email notification so they can get to their horse sooner.
